This policy explains how Edit Scanned PDF handles information in the current browser-based version of the PDF editor. Last updated: May 18, 2026.
Only edit documents that you own or are legally authorized to modify. Do not use this website to alter documents for fraud, misrepresentation, identity misuse, or any illegal purpose. You are fully responsible for how you use edited documents; Edit Scanned PDF is not responsible for unlawful or unauthorized use.
PDF file processing
In the current frontend version, PDF files are opened and processed by scripts running in your browser. We do not operate a backend upload pipeline for your PDF files in this version of the product. If this changes in the future, this policy should be updated before server-side processing is introduced.
Strict No-Logs Policy
Because this tool runs entirely in your browser, we DO NOT store any uploaded files, edited documents, user IP addresses, or activity logs on our servers. We have absolutely no records to identify who used our tool or what they edited.
Information we may receive
Like most websites, hosting providers, browsers, analytics tools, or future ad providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, and approximate usage data. We do not ask users to create an account in this version.
Third-party services and assets
The site may load external fonts, icons, third-party assets, or future advertising/analytics scripts from third-party providers. Those providers may process technical request data according to their own policies.
Cookies and ads
Real advertising scripts are not active yet. Current ad boxes are placeholders. If Google AdSense or another policy-safe ad network is added later, cookies or similar technologies may be used by that network to provide and measure ads.
